A group called Safe Slope has organized an anti-violence march to be held Thursday, September 14 at 8 p.m. in light of the series of sexual attacks that have occurred in the area.

The march will begin by the Prospect Avenue station at 4th Avenue on the R line, and it will end at the Detective Joseph Mayrose Park on 17th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.

According to authorities, there have been at least nine sexual attacks in Park Slope and surrounding Brooklyn neighborhoods since March, including one rape. Police said all of the victims have something in common: they're all white females wearing skirts, and they were attacked at night as they entered their buildings.

Investigators are now searching for two suspects, both Hispanic men. One of the suspects has been described as skinny, with almost no muscle tone; the other has been described as muscular.

Safe Slope has also organized a "Safe Walk" program on Thursday through Sunday nights, between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. Safe Walk volunteers will provide "pick-ups" anywhere in Brooklyn between 9th and 30th Streets and between 2nd and 8th Avenues, so that no one will have to walk alone.

Anyone with information should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577.
