Samurai Swordsman Breaks Up Subway Brawl

A subway fight caught on camera stopped instantly when a samurai-sword wielding vigilante decided he had seen enough.

The video, uploaded to YouTube Oct. 13, shows two men punching and kicking a third on a Phoenix light rail car around 2 a.m. on Oct. 6th, according to commenters.

A fourth man calmly stands up and unsheathes a long, single-edged katana blade.  Taking a sideways stance with the sword angled down at the pugilists, he inches slowly toward them, immediately breaking up the beatdown.

The victim attempts to wrest the weapon from his savior to go after his attackers, but is met with a raised fist – and wisely backs off.

Just at that moment the doors open and the two assailants quickly exit the train.

The samurai swordsman remains anonymous, but one passenger would like to believe that his actions weren’t happenstance.  "There's no accidents, and, he was totally there for a reason," the passenger told ABC 15. "And I feel like, hey you know dude, wherever you are, rock on!"
