MIDWOOD, N.Y. (WPIX)—The second teacher allegedly involved in a lesbian classroom tryst at James Madison High School in Midwood, Brooklyn, was fired Wednesday.
French teacher Cindy Mauro, 34, was found guilty of serious misconduct after being caught in the act with Spanish teacher Alini Brito, 30, a city arbitrator found Wednesday.
The two were discovered Nov. 20th, 2009, by a janitor who said that when he opened the door to the classroom he saw the two women topless and lying together on the floor.
The janitor summoned a school safety officer who later reportedly testified: "(Brito) was naked on the floor... and I saw the blond between her legs, and when I opened the door, she looked up and told me to shut the door."
Brito was fired Dec. 27 and is now suing to get her job back, alleging that the janitor saw what he wanted to, but that she was just in the classroom for candy and an insulin injection.
The Daily News reported that Maria Bucca, another Madison teacher, testified that Mauro admitted to fooling around with Brito eight years before they were discovered in the classroom.
Mauro denied ever saying anything like that to Brito.
