A soccer fan had his iPod Touch, wallet and other items stolen from his car while he was attending a Sounders game in Seattle Sunday, but the frustration of the theft turned to disbelief when the apparent thieves unwittingly sent him photos of their faces from his iPod.
The iPod must have had a WiFi connection in the area at the time, so while the suspected thieves got off with the goods, the images they are believed to have taken were sent straight to his laptop at home.
When he opened his laptop, "I came across all these pictures," said victim Landon Cross, 22, showing many photos of a young man and woman smiling and kissing.
Cross supplied the photos featured in the related photo gallery.
"I just want my wallet," Cross said. "I don`t want to have to go through the fraud and the whole identity theft" headache.
Cross said he hopes the two people who took his property will come forward. If not, he hopes someone recognizes their photos and calls Seattle police.
"I have those faces imprinted in my brain," Cross said of the suspected thieves.
