As truck sales climbed in the last couple of decades, automakers tried to expand their lines, and profitability, by offering something unique. Sometimes they succeeded (the Cadillac Escalade), but more often they failed. And while these vehicles seemed like a good idea at the time, sales proved otherwise.

The reality: While the Chevy and Ford had eight-cylinder engines, the Rampage had only four, so it couldn't possibly live up to its name. |
