The driveline is basically all of the components that deliver power to the wheels except for the engine and transmission (which are part of the drivetrain or powertrain, along with the driveline). These components include the clutch with a manual transmission, differentials, universal and constant velocity joints, and drive shafts and axle shafts.
The components and their layout vary depending on which wheels propel a vehicle — the front, rear or all four.
