Can my Mitsubishi Outlander Sport tow 1,000 pounds?

A truck rental company said that they would put a tow package on my Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. I'm just looking to haul around a small quad and a small, light trailer weighing no more than 1,000 pounds. Would I be OK doing this?
