Offbeat Traveler: Unusual Christmas trees around the world

Several long-awaited Christmas trees were lighted last week, including the 74-foot tall Norway spruce at Rockefeller Center in New York and the 26-foot Colorado spruce at the White House. Other trees around the world have been recently set aglow as well. Here's a look at some unusual ones.

What this tree lacks in height, it makes up in cost. The tree, which is on display in the Tokyo store of Japanese jewelry retailer Tanaka Kikinzoku, is crafted out of gold. It stands a little under 8 feet but is valued at about $2 million.
