Publix now offers their customers access to free Wi-Fi service inside their supermarkets - a blessing for customers who shop with their mobile devices.
The grocery chain announced the news on their Facebook page over the weekend.
Dwaine Stevens, a spokesman for the grocery chain, said the Wi-Fi network will be labeled 'Publix.'
Cellphone reception inside certain large buildings like indoor stadiums, supermarkets, schools, and hospitals is often spotty because the signals can't penetrate through the walls or get around obstructions.
The Wi-Fi service will help mobile users access the Internet and check out products, ingredients, prices and other useful tools shoppers want access to while grocery shopping.
