2007 Russian River Valley: Full fruit flavor deepened with woodland notes and a sense of the earth. Evocative nose offered touches of hay, smoke, cedar and spice. Colored a beautiful deep garnet. $42

2006 Meredith Estate: Cherry red with a full nose seasoned with spice, black pepper and earth. Tart berries at first, then an earthy plumminess followed by spice. $54

2006 Klopp Ranch: Distinctive aroma, with notes of leather and hay. Oak and wood, with touches of mushroom, earth and berry. Smooth throughout; long finish. $57

2006 Coopersmith: Nose has notes of berry and spice coupled with a bit of green pepper. The wine tastes of dark berries and red fruits with a dash of vanilla. $54

2006 Flax Vineyard: Voluptuously silky texture. There's a sense of earth on the nose and palate, herbal notes and spicy fruit. Shorter finish. $54
