Actor Tom Cruise (KTLA-TV) |
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police say that a suspected prowler who was tasered by a security guard at actor Tom Cruise's home was actually an intoxicated neighbor.
The incident happened at Cruise's Beverly Hills home around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, when the actor and his family were not home.
A security officer saw the man climbing a fence to try to enter the property. He used a stun gun to detain the man until Beverly Hills police arrived.
The man was subsequently identified as a 41-year-old neighbor who lives in an adjacent property, and who was intoxicated at the time, according to reports.
The man was taken into custody for trespassing. He was treated at a local hospital for any injuries stemming from the stun gun.
