FULLERTON - An unemployed mortgage worker is having a really good week.
He hit the lottery jackpot twice in as many days.
Sean Sanders drop by the Vista Verde Liquor Store in Placential on Wednesday to pick up his $1,400 winnings from Tuesday night's California Lottery draw.
While he was there, he checked his Mega Millions ticket and found he had won an additional $141,519.
Sanders, who holds a degree in Criminal Justice from Cal State Fullerton, said he bought both tickets with a $5 Quick Pick.
Sanders discovered he had matched five of the six numbers, missing only the MEGA jackpot by one number.
"I did a double take, and first tried to make sure that comma wasn't a decimal point," Sanders told lottery officials.
The winning numbers were 31, 5, 17, 36 and 56 and the MEGA number was 46 Sanders picked 45.
The 35-year-old Fullerton resident says he is currently unemployed and has been working only sporadically since 2007.
Sanders says he will use the money to pay off bills and invest the rest.
