LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- The mother of 14-year-old "Modern Family" star Ariel Winter is denying allegations that she abused her daughter.
Winter has a restraining order against her mother and has moved out of the house.
Her adult sister, Shanelle Gray, was appointed her temporary guardian on October 3.
Winter's mother, Chrisoula Workman, tells People magazine that the allegations against her are "all untrue."
"I have my doctor's letter that my daughter's never been abused.
I have stylists' letters that she's never been abused," she told the magazine.
In her guardianship petition, Gray alleges that Workman slapped, hit and punched Winter.
She also alleges emotional abuse including "vile name calling, personal insults about the minor and minor's weight, attempts to 'sexualize' the minor, deprivation of food, etc."
Gray is seeking to be appointed Winter's personal guardian, as well as the head of her estimated $500,000 estate.
She wants the actress' paychecks sent to a new bank account that Workman won't be able to access.
A guardianship hearing has been set for November 20. Workman has been ordered to stay away from her daughter pending further court order.
