YouTube video posted at 4:15 p.m. Sunday shows a boater heading out into Hurricane Sandy.
YouTube user mnhanas said the boat was outbound from Shark River Inlet in Belmar, New Jersey. The boater was not wearing a life jacket.
"Not sure what he was thinking," mnhanas said.
A corresponding photograph from www.thebassbarn.com shows the boat nearly sideways as it battles the waves. It was unknown if the boater made it to his destination.
