Washingtonians are now able to register to vote on Facebook. (Click here to access the page.)
With ballot information, a voting guide and an online "I Voted" sticker that you can post or tweet and share with friends, the page also has photos, like the boxes and boxes full of signatures signatures delivered to put Ref 74 on the ballot.
The Secretary of State's Office unveiled a new app that connects to the state's online voter database. Washington has allowed online voter registration since 2008 and is only one of seven states that allows online voter registration.
The Facebook registration app was designed in collaboration with Microsoft. It uses information already in Facebook profiles, such as names and birth dates, to speed up the registration process.
Washington is the first state to allow Facebook voter registration.
