Update: Curtis maintained her scream queen status with more bloody success in "Halloween II," "The Fog" and "Prom Night." Despite the horror hype, it wasn't long before she moved on to establish herself as a sex symbol with "Love Letters" and "True Lies," and as a cult favorite in "A Fish Called Wanda."

The actress, who does family-friendly films too (think "Freaky Friday" and "Beverly Hills Chihuahua"), surprised fans when she returned to her roots in 1998 for "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later." She's shown above with actor Mark Harmon in the hit CBS show "NCIS."
